Meet our Founders
Suzanne gibson
Suzanne is a Clinical Psychologist who is passionate about improving the quality of workplace mental health interventions. She has a unique combination of expertise, having led teams for 15 years in the corporate health industry whilst accumulating skills and knowledge in clinical psychology. She has grown and managed businesses herself as well as worked with other organisations to improve their systems for supporting the health and wellbeing of their employees.
Suzanne has worked extensively with insurance companies administering state workers compensation schemes, operating under motor accident compensation schemes and those providing life insurance policies, so that they may offer better help to people struggling with mental ill-health. She has presented numerous mental health education packages to small and medium employers, large organisations and government departments. Her aim is to provide evidence-based information about good mental health to improve everybody’s well-being.
RODNEY Gibson
Rodney brings a variety of skills to HeadSmart, having worked in several corporate roles including working for the Australian Securities Commission (ASC) before retraining in education. He has achieved excellent outcomes with disadvantaged students in under-funded areas who face significant challenges to learning. Rodney feels passionately about helping those struggling with mental ill-health, having witnessed, first hand, the impact it has had on his students’ lives.
Rodney has used his background in teaching to infuse evidence-based learning strategies into HeadSmart’s mental health education programmes. We believe this makes our programmes unique because they are designed to achieve real learning outcomes for the participants. Rodney is a fun and engaging trainer who will make your employees feel like their time in training has flown by
